INTRODUCING:
Eva Kovacs
Classic Pilates Teacher
Hello, everyone! Eva’s credentials and experience in the field of physical fitness and body contouring have a deep history that goes back all the way to her childhood, growing up in Soviet-occupied Hungary. At the age of seven, she was one of only two candidates chosen from over a thousand children to be given rigorous and disciplined training in the art of ballet to become the Prima Ballerina for the Bolshoi Ballet in Budapest. At an early age she developed a deep understanding of isometrics, core strength, and lean-muscle strength versus bulk building. In 1956, her dreams were cut short and she was forced to flee from the Hungarian Revolution and immigrated to America. In the States, she received a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Ballet and danced under the direction of the famous Alicia Markova and Maestro Karoly Zsedenyi in Swan Lake, Coppelia, Giselle, and Les Sylphides among others. After obtaining a degree in philosophy and graduating from the Royal Academy, from 1963 – 1967, she competed in numerous local, state, and international beauty contests and won dozens of titles including Miss Toronto, Miss World International, Miss Florida Best Bathing Suit, Queen of Posture and Physical Fitness, and many others. Her competitive roots laid the foundation for her career as an international Super-model and cover girl featured in such magazines as Vanity Fair, Bazaar, W, Vogue, Town & Country. She was one of the original “Gucci Girls” jet-setting across the world to be photographed in layouts from Paris and Milan, to New York and Los Angeles. She also modeled for Dior, Bill Blass, Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, Halston, and Cardinali. Later she founded the Eva Kovacs Academies & Agencies with locations in Naples, Clearwater, Indialantic and Vero Beach, Florida. Licensed by the State Board of Secondary Vocational and Technical Business Schools, hundreds of her graduates went off to claim their fame worldwide, many of which often said, “Eva changed my life”, while some others said, “Eva saved my life”. Eva helped to launch many famous faces through her training in modeling, beauty, health, yoga, and physical fitness while simultaneously publishing Emporium, the premiere social/society magazine of Naples, Florida. Today, Eva is applying her lifetime of experience and knowledge, as well as her training as a Certified Classical Pilates Instructor to help everyone, young and boomer, improve core strength, lengthen muscle, increase flexibility, straighten posture, and lose weight. With literally decades of experience under her belt, she understands the intricacies of each body type and can help to naturally sculpt each body’s aesthetics, as well as increase its physical capabilities and vitality. She teaches you how to be in control of your body again, and not at the mercy of aging or idleness.

Pilates - What is it ?
The Pilates Method (or simply Pilates), is a physical
fitness system developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates. As
of 2005 there are 11 million people who practice the discipline regularly
and 14,000 instructors in the United States. Pilates called his method
Contrology, because he believed his method uses the mind to control the
muscles. The program focuses on the core postural muscles which help
keep the body balanced and which are essential to providing support for
the spine. In particular, Pilates exercises teach awareness of breath and
alignment of the spine, and aim to strengthen the deep torso muscles.
